Scanning Documents

Scanning first document of the day

  1. Go to patients record
  2. Scan in appropriate documents
  3. Once the letter is up on the screen close the window
  4. On the bottom right hand corner there is a letter icon (in between photo and x-rays) click on this
  5. Go to ‘New Record’
  6. Click on the box beside ‘Create from file’
  7. Then click on ‘browse’
  8. You will see the box of options beside ‘look in’ and if you click on the small arrow it will bring down your options, please scroll down and select ‘My Network Places’
  9. Then double click on the ‘C on rec’ option this will bring up a box just click ‘ok’
  10. This will bring you to your ‘scanned documents’ options double click on this
  11. The document you scanned should be the last document in the sequence, to rename this file just click twice (don’t double click) on the number, delete the number and put in the patient name or number etc.
  12. Then double click on the document.
  13. When you come back to the original page always tick the ‘link’ option then ‘ok’
  14. To double check you have the correct document in the correct patient record just double click on the saved document and it will appear in front of you.
  15. All documents scanned after this will take you automatically to your scanned documents page if you follow instructions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12 and 13 thereafter.
